Found some more time to work on the shipyards branch:

Ship yards are crafters/assemblers that produce other entities rather than items.

A mechanism that isn't visible in the slightly-hacked-up clip above is the addition of "units" in crafting recipes. Units are large pre-assembled components like thrusters, wings, guns, cockpits etc that must be created from regular items in an assembler, then transferred to a ship yard using a flatbed truck. Units are too large for belts and too heavy for logistic drones. The idea is to add a layer of vehicle and traffic management logistics.
